Are you fucking serious (pizza)...

This is Carly... She owns the pizza spot up the way from where we ordered our lunch today for delivery. Here we are discussing the finer points of the Angelina / Brad debacle when she walks in and stops the whole shop dead in its tracks...

Bangin' Pizza... Carly is adorable... Get your lunch here:

ROLAND build

I've been staring at this bike for so long I didn't think I'd ever get it done. Every time I'd get close something would come up... I lost sight of this bike & what it represented, but seeing it now - I'm re-inspired and, most important - Roland seems happy. I have a few more design Issues to tackle but they're small...

Patina'd the tanks and frame Japanese Brown...

Patina is a really nice alternative to paint...

5pm: Rolands bike after clearing over the patina...

we got in late the next morning... 11:30 start time: things moving quickly... wheels, front end, rear fender... we had some detailing to do as we assembled... cleaning off the dust and shit from mock up...

6pm: bike looks good... Roland made a surprise visit! Lucky for us we'd made some progress...

Edon finished up a battery top cover

Looks good... There's always some details left for final assembly...

We'll be documenting the build in our Roland Gallery

Building a motor at this level and then having trouble can make the best of us want to faint at the thought of blowing it up or having to throw a grip-load of dough at it again to fix it. Because of Rick and his race shop we were able to salvage all the parts and fix the damage to the aluminium heads the water caused without breaking our pocket book...

Things went quick and easy with all the help...

final touches on the motor...

All systems go... We put it back together, fired it up and it sounds like the winter nationals when this thing is running. Rick lost some nose hairs while trying to find the sweet spot for distributor. Cross that off the TO-DO list... Feels like we are getting closer to going to get a hot dog in this thing...

The Limpnickie Lot / Builders Manual

Evilspirit Engineering is honored to now be associated with the Limpnickie Lot - a conglomerate of really exceptional builders...

Check out the press release of our inclusion on their blog.

The Limpnickie crew is working out their 2nd edition of the direct-to-consumer parts catalog called "The Builders Manual". We scored a page in the book. Check out the post on their blog for more information about the book...

Taillight - New York

"Hey Michael it's been a long time, it was busy year, hope was busy for you too!? Here is photo of project that I'm finishing this month, as you can see I used your brass tail light, I made bracket out of 1/4 stainless plate and 1/2 round stainless came out very strong as needed to support all that brass! I'll shoot you some more photos... Respect, Iliya the Vyke"

Model A - "H2-FUCKING-0"

We ran the motor a couple weeks ago & hit a snag. As mentioned before, this project has been on deck for quite a while - so the motor sat with water in it for a pretty long time (bad, ouch, damn it). The water basically ate at the aluminum heads like acid on skin. Consider this a lesson learned. It presented itself as what seemed to be a blown head gasket, but upon further investigation and pulling the top end - we found the damage wasn't a gasket but that the head surface had been compromised. At least we caught it fast, ensuring that NO MORE damage was done.

Thank god for Rick from Rick Neil Racing. He took the heads back to his shop, to weld and resurface them. He changed the springs out and did a deep clean to get all the fucking cancer out of the water ports - plus did tests for any other possible internal leaks. Everything checked out okay.

Thanks Rick...

Juan helped (no one knows where this guy came from... but he doesn't eat much - so thank god for him)

There is a grip more to handle before we take this thing to the streets, but hearing it run a couple weeks ago really got us pumped. Yeah, the motor gave us some shit - but what else can you do but laugh in its face. Rick handled the repair & we're owning this motherfucker. Tons of progress in a really short time. We'll keep you posted as things continue on...
